Pyramids in Mexico and disabled cruisers

I will be on a cruise next year that has 2 ports in Mexico . I have physical limitations and I am wondering if there is a way to see the pyramids aside from the outside ?

Chichen Itza is the most mobility friendly site that I have been to. Coba and other Mayan ruins are on uneven ground, high steps and not easy to navigate.

I do not know of any helicopter tours or other aerial tours. There used to be a plane trip from Cozumel to Chichen Itza but when a Holland America excursion crashed and killed 12 people that was discontinued for all cruise lines.

Wish I had better news. Perhaps someone has been to locations that are more mobility friendly.

Thanks for responding . Normally when we are on a cruise and shore excursions prevent me from partaking due to medical problems my wife has stayed with me but on my next cruise I want her to truly enjoy the ports .I will encourage her to visit the pyramids and take pictures for me.

I was told today that the Mayan Ruins of San Gervasio in Cozumel and ChaccHoben Mayan Ruins in Costa Mayor are handicapped accessible .I tried to research this on line but the info was vague.
Can anyone here give me information on these?

Personally, I wouldn't waste my time and money going to San Gervasio. It's very small, has not been reclaimed like other places (unless that's changed since we were last there), and costs too much. Again, unless it's changed, I also wouldn't say it's handicapped accessible.

Been to Tulum, but too far to get to if you're going to Cozumel.

Chichen Itza is by far the best, but unless you're staying at an all-inclusive in the Cancun area, you really can't get there if you're on a cruise.

Good to know Chitzen Itza is accessible by wheel chair. Royal Caribbean's excursion list does not show it as a handicapped accessible excursion.

Yes, Coba ruins inland from Tulum have tricycle taxis, they pedal you around a few of the sites. Great if you are tired as well and fairly reasonably priced. Tulum is a very beautiful place with many beaches..Eco-resorts, yoga, juice bars and the like are incredibly easy to find.
