I was up very early this morning so I went back to bed and didn't get up till almost noon. So it has been a fast day.
We are going out to dinner this evening and not much else is in the works.

Today my older daughter and her son both have a Birthday.


On a more somber note today is also the anniversary of my disembarking off the USS William Weigel to begin my tour of duty in Vietnam.

Well it’s official I’m retired or unemployed depends on how I want to look at it
29 years ....I’ll miss some of the people ...the others not so much

I hope everyone is ready for Christmas, today I’ll make a few more cookies but also need to run to get some cat food.

Couldn’t sleep last night so I’ll be dragging later today so I best get stuff done early.

Happy Christmas Eve Eve!

Our church is doing a CEE service tonight. Lots of young folks still in the traveling mode. Our kiddos are part of those travelers. They both get in this afternoon. Just finished the first batch of Chex Mix for them, one to go.

Pete sent us our boarding passes for our spring break cruise. Now I just need to finish the syllabus for class.

It has been A WEEK! Babysat, doctor, groomers for dog, doctor, start antibiotic (DH), picked up grands, fed grands, to their house to dress for Christmas program, preschool Christmas program (DGD#1 and classes did SO well!! Better than some elementary programs and DGD#1 was one of only five little reindeer {song}) followed by the village's Christmas party, doctor for biopsy (DH), more babysitting, prepped for our family's Christmas, our family's Christmas and, finally, cleaning up house after our family's Christmas! Now, I can relax as Christmas, for us in the party sense, is OVER!

Len, epidural #4!!?? I could only get three a year. I hope it helps you!
Nancy, sorry about the bad cabin and little sleep on your cruise.
Mrs. Bob and Mrs. Manual - yum, Christmas cookies. I didn't get to any baking this year. We are left with a bunch of food from Saturday. Nobody really touched any desserts!?

Well, now just to wait for the Christmas Eve Children's mass, followed by our tradition of Pizza Hut pizza and driving around to look at lights! I will probably go into the office at the village tomorrow for a while. Not much else until after the holiday for us!

I have a sugar hangover and have so many sweets I wish I had someone to give them too.
I’ll keep the homemade peanut brittle however.

Christmas came and went as usual, if I’m up to it I’ll take down the outside decorate while the weathers nice but will leave the tree up until after New Years. I normally shoot for after three kings day but seldom make it.

Happy Thursday or whatever day it is ....I’m all messed up I tell you.

Mild but raining here and then turning to colder more seasonal temps. I’m thrilled there is no snow so I have no complaint at this time.

Going out to dinner with a couple of girlfriends tonight but first I’ll make a up a big pot of chicken soup....Jewish penicillin for my sick guys here......still hoping I dodged this cold everyone seems to have.

I did get the outside decor down yesterday.

Hi all,

A bit of a quieter week for us! Had a quiet Christmas Eve. I worked at the village's office, we went to church, pizza and drove around looking at lights. Spent Christmas going to our two daughters' houses to see the kids' presents from Santa. Got lunch at one and turned down dinner at the other (just too full!). Yesterday was working at the village, again, and picking up grands to take home for mommy (DD#2). Today was doctor for DH, he had a tube put in his ear! Got home to GREAT news. Doctor from last week's biopsy called. DH's biopsy was negative!! He restarts hormones, so we will see if we can get his butt out of his chair for 2019!

Glad to see all here seemed to have a good Christmas. Now, on to the New Year - celebrate, birthday on the 2nd and on to new, fun and plans to do better in '19. Hope all enjoy the day, the weekend, the upcoming holiday and the NEW YEAR! TTYL!!

Well it’s the last Sunday of 2018 and another year has passed. Seems like the years are really just flying bye.....how does the saying go ,” the days are long but the years are short” kind of sums it up.

We got a dusting of snow last night but hopefully it will melt with today’s sun and temps.
