Europe flights are finally booked!
It seemed to take forever but my travel agent got a deal from the cruise line (Ama Waterways) that saved Mom hundreds of dollars and does not force us to hurry upon our return to America. The itinerary is not ideal - over 3 hours in Amsterdam - but therei is one stop each way and we do not leave early in eithe3r Orlando or Prague. It is all on one ticket with Delta and kLM.

 That's great news, Amsterdam Schiphol is quite a good airport to spend a few hours, and the 3-hour wait also allows for any delays to the inbound flight.One thing I would suggest you double-check is whether the luggage is checked all the way through both flights, or if you have to collect it and re-check it. I would expect it to be looked after, but as it's with different (but partner) airlines, it is worth asking. Hope you both have an amazing vacation. Alan.

Everyone on Trip Advisor says if both flights are on the same ticket, luggage is checked through. However, those people can't tell the difference between online travel agencies, which have zero customer service, and local AAA offices. I don't know how htey know if bags are checked through without flying the AMS-BUD route.

It has nothing to do with the ticket - it has to do with the reciprocal agreement between the airlines. Don't assume. Ask the airlines and they'll tell you whether your luggage will be checked through or not.
