Am going on Carnival Destiny for Christmas week and what I read on several sites is some women get really glitzed up with rhinestones etc. I have one nice long dress (don't get out much). Can I get away with a dressy sparkly sweater set and black dressy pants?
Also, are nice pants and tops good enough for all the other dinners or do I need to bring other dresses? I have a home office and even when I do go out wear pants. Just don't want to feel under dressed. |

I've cruised both the Destiny and the Triumph at Christmas and New Years. On formal nights you'll see a broad cross section of dress.
I don't think u'll feel at all out place in the dress outfit you describe. My best advice here is that if you look at yourself in the mirror once you're dressed and know you're " Looking Good!", then you're dressed perfectly! Enjoy the cruise! I wish I was going with U.
