Silversea Cruises is offering a new four- or five-day Easter Island land program for 2005, as an extension to four of its ultra-luxury voyages. The new four-night Mysterious Easter Island land program features two nights on Easter Island at Hotel Iorana, two nights at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Santiago, round-trip air transportation, transfers and a tour of Santiago. Breakfast is included throughout the program, as are some lunches and dinners. The five-night extension features three nights at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel. Highlighting the program is an in-depth two-day guided tour of Easter Island, including a visit to the quarry at Rano Raraku volcano, where the island's gigantic statues were cut. The extension is available on Silver Wind's Jan. 6 cruise from Buenos Aires, Argentina to Valparaiso, Chile and its Jan. 22 cruise on the reverse itinerary, as well as on the Jan. 31 Silver Shadow sailing from Callao, Peru to Valparaiso, and Silver Shadow's Feb. 11 cruise from Valparaiso to Buenos Aires. The optional land extension starts as low as $2,415 per person double, depending on dates and length of the land program.
