FORT LAUDERDALE -- Silversea Cruises is returning to Africa in 2005 after a year-long hiatus, and it expanded a partnership with Micato Safaris to offer additional pre- and post-cruise land packages on the Africa voyages.
A spokesman for Silversea said demand was on the rise for exotic itineraries. "People are getting comfortable traveling again," he said. "Africa has always been well-received in the past."
Micato will offer three tour options on the Silver Wind's six Africa cruises in March and December 2005: a three-night program with stays at Relais & Chateaux properties, a four-night safari into the Londolozi Private Game Reserve and a five-night safari into Botswana and Zimbabwe.
