When does Silversea inform passengers which nights will be formal etc.
Do they let one know before the cruise or on the ship? What has been your experience of Formal/informal nights re: days at sea and days in port? Appreciate any information.
I'm surprised you don't know already. Did you check Silverseas' web site? Normally cruise lines -- especially the luxury vessels -- list suggested clothing for every itinerary in both the brochure and on their web site.
My experience on Silver Seas was incredible! We did have an active cruise itinerary with people younger than normal. The dress was much more formal than other ships we have been on. Most every night was semi formal (jackets and ties for men and nice dresses for women). They did tell us ahead of time how many formal nights (3 or 4 at that time for a 14 night cruise) on a couple of casual nights and the rest were semi formal.

Anne, the question was how do you know which nights are formal or casual. I only saw this much on the website: during a 10-day cruise, there are three formal nights. Do you have to book a cruise first to see what the dress code for that itinerary is?
