Default Steiner Spa on Silversea ???

Do Steiner Spas own/manage the Silversea spas? I have heard very bad things about Steiner.

Default Steiner Spa on Silversea

There is a very interesting neighbouring thread in this column on a ten-day Caribbean voyage this November. As so many people like that voyage, while it is already too close in time to compare fares reasonably depending on how each line is "filling up", we will look at basically the same itinerary a year later. We believe all three include tips and drinks, and are of comparable food and service by reading on these boards:

Aboard their newbuild Sojourn, Fort Lauderdale round trip 10 day voyage
Veranda Suite V6 13,300 7,315
Veranda Suite V5 12,800 7,040
Veranda Suite V4 12,200 6,710
Veranda Suite V3 11,700 6,435
Veranda Suite V2 11,100 6,105
Veranda Suite V1 10,800 5,940
Suite A1 10,300 5,665
Suite A 9,800 5,390
All at "45 discount", copied and edited from Seabourn website. A1 and A are non-balcony
Aboard their Voyageur, Fort Lauderdale round trip 10 day voyage
D Deluxe Suite 12,795.00 6,465.00 5,465.00 Available
E Deluxe Suite 12,495.00 6,320.00 5,320.00 Available
F Deluxe Suite 12,195.00 6,165.00 5,165.00 Available
G Deluxe Suite 11,795.00 5,965.00 4,965.00 Available
H Deluxe Suite 11,395.00 5,765.00 4,765.00 Closed
At "2 for 1", includes excursions. All suites are balconied
Aboard newbuild Spirit, Fort Lauderdale round trip 10 day voyage
Midship Veranda Suite 10,795 4,318 60
Veranda Suite 10,295 4,118 60
Vista Suite 9,295 3,718 60
Vista suites are few in number and not balconied

These voyages must be as direct a comparison as possible. Both Silversea and RSSC include air fare, we do not know whether Seabourn does. Also we should note that a longer 12 day Caribbean in the same month on the same Seabourn ship is actually much cheaper at 65 instead of 45 discount than the 10 day cited here, which will give it a lower per diem rate than Silversea at 333 for non-balconed and 375 minimum for balconied. Any comments?

P.S. Those who criticize Silversea for increasing the "brochure fare" in order to give a 60 discount should look at Seabourn and RSSCs brochure fares. All three of them are showing very high brochure fares and then special discounts, so it is "common practice"
