I am a first time cruiser and my friend and I will be voyaging of the Carnival Cruise ship Pride for the New yea's Eve cruise and I was looking for any usualful information about this ship and what to expect. We are two signle females looking to have a great time. If you are going to be on this cruise I would be glad to hear from you. Thanks for whatever information you can provide.
It's a beautiful ship and a great itinerary, IMHO. I enjoyed the cruise a lot. Being a ship with a lot of balcony rooms you generally get a balcony without the extra $$$. David's is a reservations dining room that costs $25 per person to dine there and I've read reports that it is a 3 hour event and worth it. We did not do it.
The Pride is a lovely, new (2001) non-smoking ship. The hotel director told me that it attracts a more sedate/older crowd due to the non-smoking. However, on New Year's, I think it will rock like every other ship afloat.
For an in-depth "look" at the ship, I suggest you read the review in Cruisemates' ship review section.
