Hi
Has anyone booked with the organization that puts out the "My Own Cabin" newsletter? The rates are quite good for solo travellers and I would like to hear any feedback that anyone might have concerning booking a cruise through them.
Thanks in advance!
Re: "MyOwnCabin".com - Anyone Book With This Place
I am familiar with them. They have excellent rates for solo travelers. I received an e-mail from them for a RCCL southern caribbean cruise. However, I called my travel agent and was able to book a balcony cabin using the rate I got from My Own Cabin.
Re: "MyOwnCabin".com - Anyone Book With This Place
I had a subscription with them but when I asked 2 questions regarding the 50% supplements on most of the cruises they cancelled my membership. They say they advertise little or no supplement and when i said 50% is not little or none they got pissed so i am banned. But HAL and Princess had some swet deals recently for single, also Celebrity did and I booked with them in CC class.

Hi Dack,
I've booked NCL Wind, 11 days for under $1,000. Departing Honolulu and visiting all the major islands plus Fanning, Island, Kiribati. It was really a great deal that I couldn't pass up. I'll let you know how it went when I return.

Hi Dack,
Just completed the Hawaii cruise booked with YourOwnCabin.
I had a single inside cabin, the smallest I've seen for guests (with a single bed). It would probably be fantastic for crew members.
I spoke nicely to the Front Office manager, who was also surprised at the size of the cabin. The next day I was upgraded to an outside cabin with portholes. (and queen bed).
This was my first with that company and if I use them again I will check available cabins before booking. Hope this helps.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: "MyOwnCabin".com - Anyone Book With This
After a few attempts, I was able to locate the single cruise resource web site, which is provided below. I subscribed to YourOwnCabin for several months before they stopped their newsletters. I got a good rate with them for a balcony cabin on Celebrity Summit, 11 nights, 25 Oct 04. I received my cruise documents last week. Solo cruisers have to really search to find a reasonable rate.

I thought they went "bellyup" ?
I booked two cruises with them>> The contact agent was Vicki Lantz, she was great, always returned calls & emails.
So am I to understand they've stopped the weekly newsletter ? They did have a one time $75.00 charge for each cruise.
I'll check out the other sites.
Thanks

Oops. I just noticed that the web site info has been replaced with "***edited . . . ."
Did not intend to break board rules. I will share the info if you e-mail me.
Re: "MyOwnCabin".com - Anyone Book With This Place
I booked a cruise with them last March. Very happy with service offered by Vicki Lantz. Was getting weekly e-mail offerings up till a few weeks ago. Now they seem to have vanished.
