I've cruised with them several times including summer 2003, Halloween 2003, Mardi Gras 2004 and I'm booked on their Valor January 16th 2005. They're very professional and know how to throw a party. The ages of the cruisers that book with them range from the mid 20s to the 60s. their are general anywhere from 100 to 300 cruisers, but on some special occasions like Halloween, there can be around 500 cruisers. Their site is very accurate about what to expect on one of their cruises.
hi blaze I've been on three singlescruise.com cruises and about to go on my fourthin october and I also booked the january 16th cruise.I always have a great time on these cruises it's a great way to meet other singles you'll have the time of your life so book now you won't regret it this is one of the best thing I've done in my life.
I'm thinking about take a cruise on November (Thanksgiving) with SInglecriuse.com, but I'm not sure if is better wait a little bit more and take the cruise in january instead. Has anyone taken before at this time? How was it?
Thanks for any advice.
I've never cruised around the Thanksgiving holidays because I always have too many get-togethers with several different family groups and I hate to miss that holiday home cooking, but I'm sure it's a lot of fun anytime you cruise. You might not want to cruise to the western caribbean in November, if you wanted to go to the Cayman Islands. I heard they wouldn't be accepting cruiseships because of the hurricane damage.
There doesn't seem to be any "singlecruises.com". That site says the name is for sale. "singlescruise.com" seems to be a very informative and active site. "singlecruise.com" is switches to another cruise/travel agency site.
I'm so excited to find you all ! I've been eyeing this cruise and now feel encouraged to go ahead and make the final step. I'm single and definitely fit in the 30-60ish age category.
I'm Nancy and I'm from Chicago. Took my first cruise last Sept and have cruised 4x in the last year!!!!!! (YES, I'm broke), but I split the big jackpot at Bingo on the Mariner w/o 9/12 and WHAT ELSE WOULD I DO WITH THE MONEY?!
Look forward to chatting with you all before our cruise
Hi Nancy from Chicago, Jen/Ct and Blaze(if you go). It should be a fun cruise after this terrible hurricane season we've just endured. The bahamas should have recovered by then and St Thomas and St Maarten were spared the big storms, at least so far. I'm going to the southern caribbean in late October on Princess and will have a couple of months to recuperate before the Carnival Valor cruise in mid-January. I'll be talking to you. Have a good one.
Blaze, I've never cruised with a singles group cruise either. Am not "looking for love" just other singles who want to "have fun, hang out and just do stuff" together. Come join us - we'll have a great time!
That sounds good. The vast majority of the singles who go on these cruises don't really expect to find their soul mate on the cruise. Most of us just go because we love to cruise and go to exotic places and we love to have fun with others while experiencing those places or like you said, have fun, hang out and just do stuff together. Sometimes we find a level of compatibility with someone else that leads to a more intimate relationship, but that's not a requirement. I'm not necessarily looking for love either, but that's a long way from being very very friendly with someone of the opposite sex. We're all adults here and we do what we feel comfortable with or what we consider appropriate behavior for us as single adults. My taboo list is very very short, but everyone will have a great time whether your list is short or long. Have a good one!
Blaze, you most definitely will have fun. These singles cruises are always unbelieveable fun!...... Agreed, Nancy! I'd be willing to bet your list isn't as short as mine. The funny thing about that is my list keeps getting shorter as the drinks keep flowing. I know all about those packing lists, also. Once upon a time, I had a wife and she had more suitcases than we could both carry. Now I travel light like a typical guy. Have a good one!
Jen/CT, is that you? This is Tom from Denver. Good to see another framiliar face on this cruise. Don't worry, I'm not stalking you. As for the original post, I've been on five singlescruise.com cruises and I've booked my sixth on the 1/16/04 Valor cruise.
Sorry Nancy, but I only carry one case and it'll be full. I'd be willing to bet the other gals won't have enough room for their stuff, much less your booze. It sounds like you're planning on setting up a bar in your cabin. Maybe Tom can help you bootleg some of that contraband onboard in his luggage. He may travel even lighter than I travel. Later
In the next few months they should have a website for the January 16-23 cruise with singlescruise.com look for the group in the yahoogroup and put in singlescruise and all the sites willl come up then join the site. This is a great way of meeting people before the cruise. Iam looking forward to meeting all of you .
Wow, a 75 ft balcony cabin sounds real nice, especially with your own private bar. I hope I get an invitation for some of those fru-fru drinks. I just had to settle for a normal run of the mill outside cabin, but I do have it all to myself. Not that there's anything wrong with a roommate, but they told me a roommate had to be of the same sex and that killed that for me. See you guys later.
I have a website that pays for my vacations (my 'real' job barely pays the bills). So when I get burned out working on my website, I desperately () seek other friends/cruisers to rescue me..... SO FEEL FREE TO RESCUE ME AT ANY TIME (in the evening )
Hey, Hey, Nancy. It sounds like you're champing at the bit or have a bur under your saddle. If you're not a cowgirl, I may have lost you there. Anyway, I don't mind chatting at all. I'm a 53 year old Texas boy, currently unmarried, in the security business (personal protection officer). I'm always ready to cruise and I'll be able to sink my teeth into this January cruise on the Valor after I return home from my Princess southern caribbean cruise the end of this month. I already have my eye on some excursions offered by Carnival. I'm pretty interested in the Golden Eagle in St Maarten, the 5-Star St John cruise in St Thomas and the Blue Lagoon in the Bahamas. I guess you can tell from my choices that I'm a surf and sand type of guy. Well, that's it for now. Have a good one.
Hi everyone I'm jen this will be my fifth singles cruise I'm taking my fourth the halloween one in 17 days.I'm 36 now but will be 37 by the cruise. Most of time people come in one or two days early into miami for a pre-cruise party and it's alot of fun.The excursions I'll probably do port promotions one for our group only. There should be website for our group to chat and post pictures soon so look for it.To find the group go to the group section on yahoo and put in singlescruise that how you find the group.Looking forward to meeting all of you in january. You guys can e-mail at anytime you want,
AHA! You're both cruising soooooon No wonder you're not thinking about this cruise. I, on the other hand, am going thru Cruise Withdrawl. Came home from the Mariner of the Seas a few weeks ago. I got really lucky and won at Bingo (split the big pot with 2 others) or I couldn't have afforded to cruise so quickly.
So "Tex" (WhiteKnight), I checked out the Golden Eagle catamaran excursion:
"The 76-foot Golden Eagle is one of the biggest catamarans in the Caribbean, with a wing mast of 80 feet. You get the thrill of sailing while munching on home-baked pastries and Champagne. The boat beaches on a beautiful sandy beach, and passengers can snorkel, swim or explore nearby caverns. The Golden Eagle unfurls her spinnaker on the downwind sail, and you can enjoy snacks, music and an open bar on the way back to the ship." ---- That sounds awesome!
We missed our Catamaran and snorkeling with the Stingrays excursion, cuz we were unable to visit Grand Cayman last month.
I'm not one to spend hours lying in the sun, but I sure love a good tan and I love being on and in the water.
THANKS JEN! That's a heck of an endorsement - 5th singles cruise. I'll be coming in on Sat as well and would love to meet up sat nite. I had heard about the board, but as I mentioned I'm going thru CW
Hey Nancy and Jen, Nancy, that's great to win a jackpot, even if you did have to split it. I'm not really a gambler except for some friendly poker games. When I had a wife, she hit a 50K jackpot at the Horseshoe Casino and even had her picture put up on their winners wall with an oversized check. She was always lucky like that though....That Golden Eagle really does sound good! You make it sound even better than Carnival did. A woman's touch, I guess. I forgot to mention, as Jen said, that the agency will set up some excursions thru Port Promotions solely for our benefit. They'll fill you in on everything once they open a site just for us. I'll have to look at their offerings before finalizing my choices, but they're going to be hard pressed to beat the Golden Eagle in St Maarten. Sorry about your missing Grand Cayman. I missed it also, on the Mardi Gras cruise, along with Jamaica. Of course, I booked this January cruise for half price because of that problem, so it turned out okay. The scarcity of islands in the western caribbean is the main reason that I don't like to book that area. That's why I booked a cruise through another single's agency to the southern caribbean for this Halloween. Jen, I remember your name and your messages on the message board of Singlescruise from another cruise, last Halloween or Mardi Gras, but I can't place your face. I remember there were two Jen's, so you used Jen/Ct. Well anyway, I guess I better end this for now. I'll be talking to both of you later. Take care.
