My first cruise was with a large group of LDS singles a year ago January. It was a Carnival ship and we went on the Western Carrib. It was promoted through "FunforLessTravel.com" as a Book of Mormon Tour. We had 276 singles in our group and you couldn't turn around without running into one on the ship. We were given t-shirts and a id pouch we wore around our necks so we were very easy to identify. We got off the ship at Progresso, Mex. and travelled to the ruins of Chitzinitza (sp) and on to Tullum by nice tour busses and while the ship went on without us to Cuzmel (sp) we stayed at a great beach resort overnight . We caught up to the ship the next day and sailed on to Beliez. It was a 9 day trip which also included the first night in Houston, TX and a trip to the Houston Space Center. When we were on the ship for "fun at sea" we had two lecture sessions each day. One on relationships and another on the church and how it relates to where we were going.
I had a great time and met a lot of great men and women. My cabin-mate was a great guy from Idaho, a retired railroader and widower that loved to dance. He was a big hit.
Can't say anything bad about the entire voyage. Recommend it for anyone, LDS or not.
