Singles trips vs. Solo trips

When posters talk about singles and singles trips, it seems like they generally mean solo travelers. But, whenever I am researching singles trips, it's meant to be for a group of single people (men and/or women).

In my experience, it's been extremely rare to find any singles in their 20s,30s,40s on a vacation. But, we haven't done a cruise and that's our next trip - June 2007.

Bandit, solo travelers are people who cruise without a romantic partner, they maybe single or married, what we are all talking about it escorted singles cruises, you must book a singles cruise with a Singles Agency, Ann Cambel has a singles cruise calender on this site, search for it.

You can also try some of the following agencys, Vacations to Go.com click escorted singles (they are my favorite) Crusing for Love.com, and Singles cruise.com. You will have a big group of singles, to hang out with. There are special singles only activitys and parties, but you can not these sailings directly with the cruise line, or normal travel agent or you will be excluded from the singles group!

You will find many singles in their 30 and up, some in their twenties too. We have at least 140 so far signed up for my Halloween cruise these are the most popular time. I think by the time our ship sales we will have about 200 singles. On a normal sailing there might only be a handful of singles. Book one you will not regret it you will have fun, fun, fun! :D

The VTG hosted cruise on the Carnival Pride out of Long Beach, California has attracted tons of the younger singles that are fun, fun, fun. I am booked on that Halloween cruise Oct. 29th.
I think that the Carnival ships attract a younger crowd if that is what you are looking for.

Princess cruise lines attracts mostly couples in their 40"s on up. But if a group of Singles are booked on the ship then you have singles to hang out with.
I prefer cruising with a Hosted Singles group than cruising by myself with a friend.
The cruises up to 7days attract younger singles but if you book a 10 day on up you will find an older crowd.

I am a mature gal but I like hanging out with the 30's to 50's crowd.

It is true that Carnival attracts a younger group of singles, especially on the shorter cruises. However, I have found on most organized singles cruises that there are always a few in their 20s and a few over 60. It is a good mix, and the idea is to have a good time. I don't see where age makes a difference when it comes to cruising. But, hey, I live in South Florida where most people don't dare buy green bananas so I don't worry about mingling with all ages.

And I agree with cruising with a group, because these days you are going to find huge families traveling together because of discounted group rates, and that means fewer singles to hang out with...unless you are with a group. :D

This "single" or "solo" terminology messes with my head also. Technilcally I classify as both ! I'm un-married AND I travel alone.

Lots of singles

I have been on a number of Cruises over the past 10 years or so. I have yet to run into the lack of singles on a boat in there 20's and 30's. Maybe we are just lucky I don't know.

Thanks

You know what I am Lucky Pat How many 30 year old's can say they been on so many Cruises and have had great luck with singles.
Thank you for calling me lucky.

I still think Vacation is to relax and have fun. Hooking up is a bonus But with hooking up on vacation it brings some of the DRAMA we are trying to get away from
