Valentine's Day always reminds me of the 4th of July singles cruise I was on a few years ago when I opened my cabin door one morning to find a heart-shaped box of candy and a valentine. Turns out all the women in our group received the same, and the gifts were from one of the guys in our group, who wrote on the cards that he thought since Valentine's Day was so romantic, and cruises are supposed to be, that we should make it a "Valentine cruise." He later explained he had gone to several stores the day after Valentine's and bought half-price candy which he stored in his freezer till cruise time.
Everyone thought it was a sweet--and very creative--idea. And it just goes to prove once again that love, and romance, can be celebrated any time...especially on a cruise!
Happy Valentine's Day!

I'd rather have a boyfriend than candy for Valentine's Day on a cruise.
This reminds me of grade school when I would get to class and I would find a Valentine card on my desk. I would get all excited and open the card and see that it was my teacher who gave me the Valentine card. Ba hum bug...
I do think that was very nice of that man to give the gals some candies and a card. He must have been very popular after being so thoughtful.
Today is a great day for shopping for Valentine candies on sale. I like Dove and Russell Stover candies.
