That is not a great time to fly because the airports will be crowded when you return from the cruise. You will be flying home on Dec.23rd.
But if the cruise is from your home port and you don't need to fly then you will have a peaceful cruise. I am pretty sure the cruise rates are low on that date.
I prefer to cruise during Christmas week.

Are you going with a group? Angel gal

Angel gal,

I live in FL so no airport to mess with, I am cruising alone. This will be my 26th cruise. I havent been able to get anyone to join and I got a great rate even for a single cabin. I have cruised solo before and always had a great time and met wonderful people. Just nice to chat wtih a few before the cruise.

what's your definition of great rate? if you get $60 per day (all taxes and port fee included), then I consider great price. Otherwise, you over paid.

Hey CruiseTraveler, I think it is great that you live near a cruiseport. I know you got a fantastic deal especially on that date.

I am also a big time cruiser and live near the L.A. & Long Beach Port.
I plan to cruise out of the L.A port for Christmas week with a friend. I am paying extra money just because it is prime time but I don't care because I do need to get away for the Holiday.

I wish I lived in Florida so I could cruise to the carribean more. I like the carribean better. But I love California the best.

Since you have cruised a lot you already know the menu and how to relate to the cruisers on the ships. Have a great time. Angelgal
