I have always liked the food on Carnival until my last cruise, and then it seemed everything was drenched in cream sauces. And every time I ordered steak it was tasteless.
I hear a lot of criticism about RCI. Their buffets on the Lido decks are a nightmare to navigate, because they have food "stations" situated around the room, and instead of a solid line people push in like hogs at a feed trough.
Crystal has never disappointed me.
But how do all of you feel about desserts? With the exception of the yummy chocolate cake we've been talking about lately, I find for the most part they are just a lot of sugar and food coloring. I stick with the ice cream.
And I am always disappointed by the cookies, which are more sugar and bland taste...except for Crystal. They have warm chocolate chip cookies at the ice cream bar all day, and they are delicious.
As for breads, I know it would be a lot of trouble with so many people to serve, but wouldn't it be great if they could put a basket of warm rolls on your table instead of cold, and, most of the time, hard?
Regardless, I don't think any of us come back from a cruise having lost weight! And eating is not why we singles go on a cruise, anyway, is it?
