A roll call, or Meet on Board as we call it, is a post on the Meet on Board area where you post your ship and sailing date to see if others will be on the ship with you.

I suggest that you mark "Notify me when a reply is posted". It is just below the text box when you compose a message. This will notify you when someone responds and you don't have to constantly check your post.

Good luck and have a great cruise.
Mike

Hi Jean Marie, you can also go over to Cruise critic dot com and check out the roll calls there if you are allready booked.

The best cruise I ever took solo was on board the Granduer, repositioning. Met lots of folks and talked and talked on the roll call before the cruise. Felt like I had made lots of friends before I sailed. It was wonderful. I never felt alone on the ship.

Im booked on a Labor Day weekend cruise on the Monarch and a repositioning in April on the Enchantment. Looking forward to talking with folks on board both ships till we sail!! Have fun.

sure wish we could get the roll calls here active; I can't figure it out; but it is like everyone is scared to post on the Meet On Board.... but those same people will post at CC;

I think lots of cruise-mate members like to sign up for the roll calls at cruisecritic.com because they have lots of cruisers signing up for the roll calls. I think it is great because it is like a free message board for all of us to talk about our cruise and then meet on board the ship.

Hey Lady48, You will love the Monarch of the Seas. It was my favorite ship in Los Angeles when it was located here. I cruised on it four times. Lucy
