I just noticed that both a Vacations to Go singles cruise and the LDS (Mormom) 5th Annual Singles Cruise will be on the same Carnival Splendor sailing ...

OMG - how will you tell the people apart?!?

We were on our Cruisemates Epic cruise last Halloween...lots of people in costunmes and a party around the pool!

The Conquest did a great Halloween themed dinner one year. I've also been on the Ecstasy during Halloween. They had costume parties. Pretty Cool.

Paul, several gay groups also sail on Halloween. They have great costumes.

There is a nice group booked on CCL Freedom on Oct 30th out of Ft. Lauderdale.

Us Brits don't really "get" Halloween.

We will be on the Conquest out of Galveston for Halloween this year. Last Halloween we were on the Triumph from New Orleans. I don't expect the participation this year to be what I saw last year cruising out of New Orleans, but locals do dress for any occasions there. If any group can out costume the sheet sisters I will be impressed!!

The so called history of Halloween and dressing up has basically been lost. People now associate the date to costumes and parties. History of Christmas has lost a lot too. It's become very commercial, with the theme being lights, parties and gifts vs the "real" meaning.

I'm booked on the Carnival Triumph leaving Galveston Oct 29th. Five nights. A very generous soul from this board GAVE me this cruise as they could not make it. I've already contacted Carnival and it's a done deal. Just found out I'm going today!! So thrilled!! I had planned to go on this very same cruise in December, but obviously going sooner is great too! I'm going solo.

Wow...very generous of them!
I am going on a 6 night out of Ft. Lauderdale to the Western Caribbean. I hope Hurricane Rina cooperates & doesn't put much of a "damper" on our cruise. I was going solo but found a cabinmate on here. She will be arriving Saturday for our Sunday departure.
