Most ships have a singles meetup daily at a certain bar at the same time. It may not be printed in the itinerary everyday but you can ask the entertainment crew/guest relations about it.

It varies by cruise line, ship and itinerary but I'd say at least 10-20% singles on most sailings. If your eager to meet on board consider a hosted singles cruise for your next adventure.

You'll have a great time. I just booked my first solo cruise. I've taken many cruises before but this is my first solo. Just go with the attitude that "it's going to be a fun time" and you'll be quite alright. I think if you go in with the pressure of having to meet another single, you get anxious. I have no problem thinking you'll meet some great people as a solo cruiser, because every other time I've cruised (when single) I've met some great people. Cruise ships are so romantic and everyone on board comes to realize that.

Relax and have fun on the cruise. Make a point of showing up at the Singles Meet & Greet on the first or second night. Say "yes" when asked to dance and you will meet nice single men. There are lots of solo cruisers on any sailing (usually more women than men) so you are sure to meet new friends.

Hi...don't mention anxiety..I am a S/M looking to take his first cruise...don't want to hear about all the iffy things. lol....I am just looking to have fun and see what a cruise is like. I have heard all positives from friends. Now it is just finding the right cruise and someone to share a cabin with. Don't want to go it alone, but will if I have too. Just so much more expensive.

If you have not done so already, post something in the Cruise Companions section about yourself and when & where you wish to cruise and you will find someone to share the experience (and the cost) with. Good Luck

Default in my opinion...

you will meet many people just by dining, going to trivia quizzes and shows etc etc... you will meet and mix with couples as well as some singles...cruising is just one of those hoidays, where being solo, is actually NOT a problem in any way. relax, enjoy it, and get on the roll call at cruise critic for your particular cruise...get pre cruise conversations going, and join excursions that you will find people on cruise critic organising...which is always cheaper than the ships cruises.
Ive just organised three excursion days on my next cruise...and have 24 people...at a third of the cruise ship.
We are all meeting up after muster, and no doubt will socialise along the way.
Also, i have just returned from the NCL epic...single cabin, where about 12 of us socialised each day.

Next time choose the NCL EPIC. They have 128 cabins for single travellers only. It is an amazing trip. I am taking a second EPIC cruise in September.
