Please let me hear from anyone going? I read some posts that sounded pretty scary about bad weather. My husband gets sea sick and we have one of those "guaranteed" cabins unassigned. Also, what clothes to take? Thanks. Missmac

I TOO AM TAKING THE MERCURY AND GET SEASICK ALSO, AND HAVE HEARD THE SAME STORIES.I WILL BE DOING A BACK TO BACK FROM FT. LAUDERDALE TO RIO ON DEC 9TH THRU JAN 6TH...
I TOO WOULD APPRECIATE ANY COMMENTS...

Haven't heard from anyone on my questions. I did get some info on tours that I have emailed to a few people, but no replys yet. Are you going on 1/20/02 also? missmac

I'll be there too, with a girlfriend (Sheila), on both the 1/20/02 sailing and 2/3/02 sailing. Can't wait!!!

In terms of weather and what to pack, there is a good (albeit wordy) South American review on www.cruisereviews.com. Click on destinations, then South American, then the Royal Princess review.

This couple did the Santiago to Rio parts of the cruise itinerary last January, and provide good information about what to pack, and what shore excursions they did.
