Amazon River

We are looking into the possibility of sailing the Amazon River. Has anyone done this sailing? We would appreciate your input.

We have not been able to find a Princess cruise of the Amazon River for 2003. We have found 2 Seabourn cruises and 2 Radisson Seven Seas cruises. If you know of others, I would appreciate hearing from you.

What was your overall view of sailing the Amazon River? I would love to hear your input.

My wife and I sailed on the Royal Princess leaving Manaus, Brazil on the 30th of Jan. We really enjoyed the 1000 miles down the Amazon and the 12 night trip back to Ft. Lauderdale. The Royal Princess is a great ship and about the right size for us. I haven't seen anything about a 2003 sailing on the Amazon.

We just booked the Royal Princess for March 25, 2004, FLL to Manaus, I have searched all over and have gone through the Princess Exotic cruise catalog and I don't think this cruise is being offered in 2003

The Olympia Voyager also has cruises to the Amazon. I've been hearing good things about this cruise. The cruise line is Royal Olympic Cruises.

We are booked on ROC for Feb 5-20 going down the Amazon. Anyone else on this cruise

Booked on ROC Voyager , via TA, on 3/26 out of FLL. This is twin rivers( Venezula?) cruise. Generally, posters seem to recommened doing dockside procurement of excursions versus buying on ship board?
