Default weather around South America

This is for everybody that cruised around South America. What clothing did you pack and what did you use most? How warm / cold can it get from Valparaiso to Cape Horn, and then to Rio, in November?I hate packing; what would be the shortest list?Tx Mia

You will have about 6 days of cold weather. We took long underwear and decided we would be buying a sweatshirt from the ship. You will need to protect your ears if you have much wind and can buy hats also while on tour. You need to layer your clothing.

Take a extra duffle bag with you or buy one to bring your new souvenirs home.

Mia, hope you have found & read my review now. All the temperatures & wind speeds quoted are from the official cruise log supplied to passengers. You will see that we only had3 days of warm weather in 14 on that section of our trip! If you are going on to Rio you should have extra warm days to us.
You do need a windproof outer garment & layers inside, for the colder areas, see what they are dressed in round Cape Horn in my photos & that was not the coldest part for us! You will however need shorts & tee shirts for the hotter climes

We cruised S.A. over Xmas and New Years. We dressed in layers and had a warm coat as well. We were very comfortable. Most of the cooler days were around 50-52 degrees f.
