Amazon river cruise

We just booked on the Oceania cruise on the Amazon in Feb 2005 on the Insignia - Any comments on Amazon river cruise/oceania cruise line?

We have booked the Amazon cruise on Oceania leaving on Feb. 14 but have learned that the cruise line is in some financial difficulty. Do you know anything about this?
I'm in a quandry as to what to do. Pat

We're booked on the Amazon cruise leaving Manaus on 3/1.
Relax, Oceania is not in any financial difficulty. What happened was a communicarion snafu that caused one of the insurance companies (Travel Guard) to put Oceania on their "bad" list. Oceania was removed fro the list within 2 business days.

This is our second Oceania trip. We loved the first one. Food, service and accomodations were terriffic.

We are booked on the Insignia Amazon ruise on March 1/05 too...have you booked your shore excursions?

Would you be interested in sharing info/plans? My husband and I are in our lates 50's -seasoned travelers but somewhat slowed donw by arthritis....
