NCL Star in December

Is there anybody going on the 10-day cruise on the NCL Star on Dec. 5th leaving Ensenada? NCL had some really good deals on that cruise.

greetings, I'm thinking about it! Do you have any information on getting to Ensenada from San Diego? NCL wants $100/ea for transfers... Ouch! Jim

Jim,

We too thought that the transfers were high from San Diego, so we called a few shuttle services and none of those crossed over the border into Mexico. We also were told by a tour company they could take us down there, but we had to be at a certain hotel in San Diego and they pick up at 8:00 in the morning. They would drop us off at the pier at Ensenada. I think they charged $60.00 per person. That was the only time of the day they go down there, so that pretty much left us out because our flight arrives later that morning. If you are interested, I can try to find out the name. But, they all suggest the transfers due to safety. NCL has you in their palm of their hand on that one! Let us know if you are going to be on that ship!

Why quibble ovefr $40 if it guarantees a safe transfer to the ship. This thread said itself that NCL is offering a fantastic deal on the cruise. Maybe they are offering a high quality, air conditioned vehicle that is reliable and has a driver that is also on top of it. Why think poorly over a situation that you cannot control and start out your beautiful vacation in a huff? Think of it as money well spent to get to the real deal.....the cruise to Hawaii. Jean,

Sorry it took me so long to respond to your e-mail. We are 38 years old, and this is our first time to Hawaii. We are very excited. We got a very good deal on a balcony room and that too is also a first for us. We live in St. Louis area, and have 3 girls ages 18, 14, and 10. They are bumming that they don't get to go with. We have taken them on other cruise before, one on Princess and one on RCL. We are pretty much Princess Cruisers. We have been on NCL, in fact that was our very first cruise. It was on the Dream. This will be our 6th cruise. We have been looking at the excursions on the islands and trying to decide where to go and what to do. We are spending a extra day in Honolulu and then taking a small plane over to Maui to hop on a bigger plane back to Missouri. Have you been at sea for 4 days? I hope it is smooth. This is the first time we are going by ourselves with no friends along, so we hope to meet you and your husband and anybody else along the way! If you have time, write us again!

Bye for now,

Laurie
