Aston hotels?

I'm thinking of sailing on the Patriot and would arrive several days pre-cruise. Any thoughts on inexpensive hotels? I see some fantastic rates on the Aston Waikiki beach and the Aston Hawaii Polo Inn at about $60 per night. Has anyone stayed in either of these?

Aston is a major hotel chain on the Hawaiian Isles for moderate priced facilities. Chain ownership can change frequently. What was a Marriott can now may be an Aston. Suggest you invest in a AAA Tour Guide if you are or know a member. It is free. Hotels have ratings which are good with AAA. One hotel I don't recommend is the Beachcomber. Hyatt, Sheraton, Ilikalani, Halekilani (sic) and Hilton are all on or near the beach. Check out what hotels the cruise lines offer too and contact them directly for their best rates. Cruise lines won't put guests up in second rate properties.
