We'll be doing a Hawaii cruise in September from Vancouver. I would like to know what kind of weather (warm or cold?) we can expect during most of the five day crossing.
are you on the rccl vision? we are doing back to back on the vision: vancouver to hawaii then on to ensenada. I am also concerned about the water as our cabin is quite a bit forward.
Mary.
We did that itinerary in Sept a couple of years back. Our first day out of Vancouver was cook, with fairly high seas.. the rest was lovely and relatively smooth.
Weather can vary though, so our experience isn't a forecast <G>
We did the Hawaii trip a few years ago too. We went in early Oct. and flew to Honolulu. On the 4 day crossing to Ensenada at the end of our cruise the first day at sea was very choppy. A lot of people were sick and didn't make dinner that night,my husband included. I made out fine. The other three days were great, a little windy and cool up on deck though. Don't let that stop you that was the best cruise (out of 22) that I've ever been on. Hawaii is beautiful. Even my husband would do it again if we get the chance!
Kathy,
Do you know anything about the acupressure wrist bands usd for motion sickness prevention? Do you know anyone who used them and did not find them effective?

I did the crossing in March... The seas weren't really rough but the weather was cold for the first 3 days... When we got close to Hawaii.. it was plesant. Just bring some clothes for 50-60 degree weather.( I didn"t)... It is a great cruise.. enjoy!
We are going on the Infinity, May 10th from Ensenda to Hawaii. I too have wondered about the conditions at sea. One travel agent told me she had a client do this trip and the water was very rough. I talked to another one who had done this trip before and said it wasn't all that bad.
I have even e-mailed Celebrity and they have really not told me much either. If anyone had done this from Ensenda to Hawaii around May let me know what you thought about it.
Hi All,
I firmly believe the weather is what you get. I did the Honolulyu to Oakland cruise on an old green boat courtesy of Uncle Sam in March of '65. The seas and the weather couldn't have been better. The ship's captain indicated the uppermost mast never varied 3 degrees from center the whole trip. We spent every night on deck with only the red running lights on and I found out what dark was. I guess, we buys our ticket and takes our chances on the weather.
