Default Spirit 10/7

I will be sailing on the Spirit on October 7th from Honolulu to Ensenada for 12 nights. Does anyone know what the seas are like that time of year? It's for my honeymoon so I'm hoping nothing spoils it! Thanks in advance.

We did that same trip back in 1998 on the Jubilee. As I remember, once we got away from Hawaii, the weather was fairly cool. Seas were noticeably rougher but not all that bad. Suffice it to say not many were out on deck or using the pools as we got closer to Ensenada.

Sounds great Nieciez...it should be a great time. Do you happen to know how many formal nights there are on the ship? I know a 7 day cruise has 2 but not sure about this one. This is our honeymoon trip and we can't wait! We have a cat. 8C room, with the extended balcony. How about you?

From what I was told it is still just two. I believe one was during an evening while in the islands, after leaving port and the other was a sea day, but not sure. Think I'll e-mail Carnival and find out for sure! We to have an extended balcony, cat 8G, room 7258 which has an extra long balcony.

Here's what Carnival e-mailed me:

For cruises with two formal nights, the formal nights are scheduled for
the second evening of the cruise and the second to the last evening of
the cruise.

If there is anything else I can do for you, please don't hesitate to
ask and thank you for choosing Carnival Cruise Lines.

So, I guess that means the first formal night will be when we set sail from Honolulu on Tuesday Oct. 8th and the second will be a sea day on Thursday Oct. 17th.

Dear Danielle,

Mahalo!!

That's so cool your cruising to Hawaii for your honeymoon. But I would recommend
you get back to your job and get off this site. I'm sure your new husband would not appreciate you surfing this site all day at work.

Just go with the flow on your cruise. The only thing that can spoil your honeymoon is your lunacy.

Aloha!!!

Denise:
Sounds like you are with Carnival?
We are sailing the week before your cruise. 9/25 from Vancouver to the islands.
Any suggestions for the "best" shore excursions, dining @ Davids...?

We were 1st booked on the May trip that was cancelled due to AC problems. it was our 25th anniversary so we're really looking forward to this trip -a-go!

Looking forward to your response too.
Julie

Julie, In Maui we will drive the Road to Hana in the a.m./afternoon then back to the ship to get ready for the Old Lahaina Luau (www.oldlahainaluau.com) in the evening. The next morning we plan on getting up early and heading to Haleakala to see the sunrise. In Kauai we will be doing the helicopter tour with Island Helicopters (www.islandhelicopters.com) and try and get in some beach time. In Hilo we will visit the Volcanoe's Nat'l Park and in Kona we have rented a car and we will do another driving tour on our own.

Hope you have a great time!
