Default parking for rental cars

We will be staying over night at Maui and are thinking of renting a car, but is there parking near the pier over night. Also thinking of renting a car at Wikiki for our two night post cruise trip, but we were told taht parking is very difficult at the Hawian Village where we will stay and on the island. Does anyone know? Kate

The Hilton Hawaiian Village has quite an extensive parking garage. You can either self park or use valet parking. No problem with a rental.

Parking in Maui wasn't too bad last . We had to walk about 2 blocks to get to the tender pier. We had a convertible mustang and we didn't have any problem with theft while on Maui. In Honolulu we parked at the lot next to the Aloha Towers market the night we were on the cruise it was probably 2 blocks as well. Our Radiance was a little strange as we spent 2 days in Honolulu on the cruise. The 2nd night we moved to our hotel on the north shore The Turtle Bay Resort. It was a Hilton until the week we arrived when it was sold. An old hotel at a wonderful place! The North shore is just beautiful and the location of the Turtle Bay Resort is phenomenal. It is not the best hotel, but it was more than adequate and its location covered many faults we booked it with a broker for $120 per night with ocean view and balcony and King bed. The restaurant was only average, but we drove to Halewia and ate breakfast at Cafe Halewia (wonderful, wonderful, but a surfer dive!) and dinner at several restaurants at the north shore the drive to Honolulu and Waikiki was a little over 75 minutes. So it is not really that far away. Road goes right by the Dole Pineapple plantation, and thru acres of coffee plants. I really liked the north shore.
