We will be on a 14 day RT to Hawaii on a ship with no self serve laundry--is there any place nearby in any of the usual ports where we might do a quick load ???? Can send out indiv items but too costly to send out entire load on Celeb ships! Thanks for any help you can give us...
I know there is a laundromat in Lahaina. Can't remember just where it is. You could take a suitcase full of laundry ashore, (you tender ashore in Lahaina) rent a car in downtown Lahaina, ask the location of the laundromat, do your laundry, see the sights and return to the ship. If you dock at Kahalui, you could do the same there, or you could do it by cab in Honolulu. but that should be far more hectic. that's what I like about Holland America, all their ships have laundromats. can't imagine why any cruise line would have a ship without them, especially for a two week cruise.
Landlocked in Denver, but cruisin every chance we get.

Sorry don't know of any laundry faciilties but on the ships I've been on without self-service laundries, they had specials such as 1 bag full for $15. Maybe they will offer this after the 1st week. When we cruised Hawaii, we washed some things out in the sink and brought clothes pins and dried them out on the balcony. If you don't have a balcony, I'm sure they have a clothes line in the shower. Another option, bring less and buy things along the way. You could also try a search on Google for each port if you know where the ship will dock. I would hate to use my vacation time to search for facilities. Good luck.

We wash out underwear and socks all the time on ships. They all have a clothes line in the bathroom shower. Roll them in a towel after washing, stomp on the towel to get them as dry as possible, and then hang. They should be dry within 8-10 hours. We also plan to wear nearly all outer clothing at least twice, so rarely need to wash on a two week trip. Most people take too much luggage, and really think that others will remember that you wore something last week. Trust me, no one will remember but you.
Chris and I will probably look for laundromat also, or we'll pack enough for one week, and wear it for two. Gives me the heebies just thinking about it. A 14 nighter should make for a smelly flight home.
