Default Kauai pier to Dukes @ marriott

We will tender to this port. After our morning excurson we'd like to have lunch at Dukes whihc is supposed to be at the nearby Marriott resort. Is this correct & if so are there cabs to get us there & back (phobic about missing the ship!)

I believe you can walk from the dock to the Marriot. At least when the ship is tied up, you can look right at it. and its beach. On a recent trip, a friend walked over and enjoyed the beach.

It is not a real short walk, but you can also taxi very easily.

there's a website you can look through if you search for Dukes waikiki--it could be a tourist trp but has alot of surfing memorabilia & a menu that seems reasonable & palatable, I am told--we will deinitely stop in at one port for a drink....will know first hand in March 06

The Marriott is about a quarter mile from the pier. The easy (and cheap) way to get over there is to take this complimentary shuttle for a shopping center that is right near it and walk over.

Gee, wish I could remember. However, it was the only shuttle to a shopping center, so you should be fine. I *do* know that it had shopping in the name.

I believe the shopping center is the Anchor Cove Shopping Center. Less than a mile from the dock , the beach is tucked behind the shopping center. Hope this helps. Karen
