Excursion to USS Arizona/Mighty Mo

We are looking at shore excursions for the Mighty Mo & the USS Arizona. The excursions range from 4-1/2 to 6 hours long. The Princess website indicates security notes that “Security measures prohibit items such as backpacks, fanny packs, camera bags, and purses on the "Mighty Mo".

This is probably a no-brainer for those who have cruised/traveled “lots? to Hawaii, so, please help me determine how to carry ID, cash, credit card, tissues, camera, etc., you know, the things that us girls have to carry.

You can keep you ID, CC etc with you without problems.
But bags - even those of your cameras - are not allowed.
Opposite the entrance of the Arizona memorial there is a big white tent, in there you can leave your bags (put it all in 1 bag) etc., for I think it was $ 3.-.
Be there in time, sometimes lines are very long!

Thanks Ine. I'm sure we'll work with that. (I guess I'm just sweatin' the small stuff). :)

No your not Sassy. You helped US out. We are doing MO. Seen the memorial. Or I should say Debbie has when she flew over. I made a DVD slide show for them and from 100's of photos? I feel like I was there. But I DO want to see MO myself. But I would have probley brought a fanny pack if I didnt stumble across your post. Although when the excursions open for us we may have caught that but who knows.
So I thank you.

a great shore excursion to see the arizona etc is the Duck Tour, http://www.hawaiiducktours.com/
we did it and could leave our bags on the vehicle plus you get a guided tour of the city and a short cruise.
Also they pick you up and drop you off. the arizona is on a strict time schedule and you are allowed 15 minutes on the memorial , the mighty mo takes a full day to view ( i have been on a few of our floating museums) so you do not get enough time to see her but the main parts you can see.

On the same subject, is there anything to be gained by booking the Arizona Memorial tour through our boat? Do we get admitted any faster to the memorial, for instance? If so, we'll book with Diamond Princess - if not, it's the DUCKS.

ALL people, whether or not in tour have to stay inline at the Arizona memorial. All tickets go on first-come base and are handed out to each person. In that way it doesnot help to be on a tour.
Depending how early this tour leaves, it is maybe more convenient to get there.

Do the Duck tours pick you up at the pier? Thanks

All those items have to go in a pocket. You can carry your camera.
