Hey PJ...

Very nice roundup of your cruise - thanks for sharing. November 20th, 2012 04:33 PM

Having done this cruise just last year, I can definitely say it's an amazing cruise. Food on the ship was not that great, but the staff was wonderful. And save yourself ALOT of money by pre-reserving rental cars in each port. You can do your own thing in your own time, see more, do more, and not have to worry about the crowds. I wrote a complete cruise review but can't post it in this forum as it only allows about 2000 words and mine is much longer than that. If you're interested in reading it, let me know via PM and I'll send it to you. It's got alot of great information.

If you can, you'll want to spend at least a couple of days prior to your cruise in Honolulu. It'll not only give you some time to decompress after a long trip, but it'll also afford you the opportunity to see the sights. You can also rent a car at the airport very cheaply, but unfortunately parking is pricey unless your hotel offers a good package.

And if you're planning to go to Pearl Harbor, make sure you get there early. They open at 7:30am, but there will most likely already be a long line. The tickets are free, but they are time-stamped and even if you get there at 8:00am, you can end up waiting 3 hours or more and if you don't get there before 10:00am or 11:00am, you may not get any tickets because the last program begins at 3:00pm.

Hawaii is one of the U.S states. It is really amazing place. After visiting this place most people express their feeling like this “There’s no place on earth like Hawaii”. It is one of my ideal travel experience. Waikiki Beach, Papohaku Beach Park and Poipu Beach are its attractive places.

I think you have enough information about Hawaii. Am I right? I want to know about the Nā Pali Coast State Park,Bishop Museum and Punchbowl Crater. In these places I have no idea. Would you like to share details about these places? I am waiting your reply.

Marquis ...

The Pride of Aloha allows you a great view of the Na Poli coast line. It can only be seen from the sea, which is why a cruise is the best way to see it, and always it is most dynamic at sunset when the light makes the cliffs glow. Clouds tend to gather on that side of the island that all turn vermillion at sunset as well - a fantastic picture taking opportunity.

Sorry, but I do not know the other places.

Visiting Hawaii
My question is..... is there a bad time of the year to visit Hawaii?

I just cancelled a trip because health issues. When I get an handle on my situation I would like to re-book this trip.

So sorry you had to cancel plans. From my research Spring is one of the best seasons to visit Hawaii, only because summer is hot & humid and fall tends to be the rainy season.

Winter is the beginning of the best time to visit - fewer kids and whale watching.

But the best weather (assuming you like to swim and go to the beach) is sid t be Spring. Summer is not too bad, though, its like the Caribbean, hot & humid.
