On the formal nights at sea, do you go back to the cabin to change into more casual clothing, or do you prefer to stay dressed to the hilt all evening?

I prefer to change clothes and dress more comfortably. HAL used to ask people to remain in whatever garb that's been designated for the evening. So then I obey.
Depends on the outfit and what I planned to do after dinner. I stayed dressed when I went to the show after dinner. But for the second dinner I wanted to join the party on the Lido deck. It was toga night so I changed.

since we choose late seating we usually stay dressed up for the entire evening, especially if we are planning on attending some of the special events for the evening. If we are just going to hang out on deck then we will change into casual clothing.
Sometimes I change from a long gown to a skirt or some fun dancing clothes. Sometimes just dress pants and a blouse for a show. Depends on my feet and shoes. I love heels but they start to hurt hiking around a cruise ship. I also don't want my beautiful dresses to smell like smoke from the disco or risk someone spilling a drink on me. Toga nigh(on Costa) I would have like to have seen everyone stay in thier toga in the disco but after the guest talent show almost everyone changed.
Stay dressed. We figure if we're getting dressed up stay that way.
