Default Formal Wear

A great place to pick up inexpensive formal wear for the whole family is a local second hand clothing store or ebay. I've gotten some great buys. I once bought my son a suit, two dress shirts, 2 ties and shoes for $15 at a local thrift store. Just make sure when buying on line at a site such as ebay you know what size you are, especially in brand names. I've found I can vary as much as 1-2 sizes different depending on the maker (same with shoes).

I agree that ebay has great stuff. But, be warned, you could get caught up in a bidding war and pay to much. I have seen it happen.
I like to peruse the scrapbooking items and wanted some items. People came out of the woodwork, gosh, i dropped out fast.

I'm always amazed at the people who overbid on ebay. Don't they check their local stores first? I've gotten some amazing deals there on a variety of things but have also gone away shaking my head at what some people have paid for things.

Some people want to "win" at any cost! Especially if someone else wants something-people will over bid to "win" as it becomes like a personal vendetta with them.

Poor fools-I can't help but feel sometimes that other bidder is in choots with the seller!

Shopping at a second hand shop is a great idea, because I was just thinking about how to find something formal without breaking the bank on something that I'll wear once or twice. Thanks for the tip!

JC Penney also has some great after the holidays sales. Another good time to look is in June after the prom season is over.
