Default Topless deck on Carnival who uses it?

I have never used the topless deck on Carnival but I did stumble upon it. I think it's nice that European women or women who don't want tan lines have an option. However myself I would not want to be oggled by men, and since I know a ships employee I was informed that the cameras are on and the staff and officers watch the ladies. Just wondering your thoughts about this.

Yeah the sunburn would be bad.

It's not like we have the men in thongs deck, gosh that scary! Why is the guys in the Speedos are always the one's that have a nice big pot belly, and hairy backs but no hair on thier heads! I swear that was the first guy I saw on the beach in FL! My sister and I looked at each other and said YUCK!

Have not been on a ship that offered it, but if the Liberty in Oct does, I will be there! Ya gotta get over the hangups, and not think of the whole bare body thing as a beauty contest. Those who are the most comfortable with a bare, or partially bare body are not doing it because they have great bodies, they are doing it because they enjoy the freedom and no tan lines.

If my wife decided to go up there my words to her would be: "OK, meet me at 3:30 for trivia."

Take care,
Mike (Who really doesn't care to up there but also doesn't care if anyone wants to.)

I don't have a problem with nudity or nudist's. I do think that Americans tend to oggle cause they are not used to it. For Europeans it's natural they swim nude and sunbathe topless, it's not a big deal. But getting leared at would get on my nerves. I would feel like that girl in that Euro Trip movie on the nude beach full of men.

I went up there not knowing it was the topless deck and started taking some pics of Grand Cayman as we were pulling away. OOPS!

No one said anything to me, and I don't think at that time there was anyone topless anyways.

Nopesos:

Yes: All Carnival ships have an area that is top "optional". Many Celebrity ships also have areas that are top "optional".

Take care,
Mike

Okay, who said the topless deck has to be for those who choose to
"bare it all"? My husband and I relax up there because: it is quiet,
no children, and there are always chairs available. It is more than
just a topless deck, it is an all adult deck. Take advantage of it.
And as always, Happy Sailing.......

I with you Cruisingbears! We alway use the topless deck for relaxation. No kids, No hassles, No shadows and you can always find a chair. This is a great place to lay out and read a book in total peace! Never have done the topless part but would be willing on a dare.

I too take advantage of the relaxation of the topless deck! It really is no big deal, especially if you have been to any european beaches before. After the intial reaction it's like...whatever! It is nice and quiet, no kids and breezy.

On our last Carnival cruise (last year), they had converted the topless deck to miniature golf....which no one had any interest in. Hope they don't do that to all their ships. I don't use the topless deck, but I like the idea that those who want to can.
Merry Christmas to all of my cruisemates buddies!

There is a rumor going around that I might do it in St. Marteen. But the rumor hasn't been confirmed. I wouldn't go bottomless.

Is there a topless deck on the Valor?

I heard all the topless deck are gone off of the Carnival ships.

Am I wrong?

I didn't see a topless deck on the Conquest, but that doesn't mean it's not there! But really, does the Conquest have one? I didn't see miniature golf either.
