I collect dolphins, and cruise ships. I have one from each of our cruises, and have them all displayed in my bathroom so I can see them first thing in the morning.

I always buy the ship's fridge magnet and one from each place we visit. Our fridge is getting crowded, too!

I collect owls, so I'm always on the lookout for them! I've found some wonderful owls in Mexico! Our next cruise is the "Exotic Southern Caribbean" so I don't know if there will be any owls to be found .

DH "complains" about all the owls, but he's the first to point out one he finds!

I'm with Angela Z....I started collecting Christmas ornaments from our travels years ago, and they're great! They take up very little space in our luggage, and when we unwrap them and put them on the tree at Christmas, it's nice to reminisce about our past cruises!

Way too many of them, no?!!

I collect mugs from the various ships I've cruised on. Also, like those who posted above, I collect Christmas ornaments from the different ports and on the ships.
It's great to decorate the tree each year and think back on all the wonderful places I've been.

After 20 years of cruising and 30 years of winter vAcations we don't need anything.. We used to be something from a local artisan...This year we started a new collection which you can easily do..On our trans-atlantic c ruise we collected t-shirts from every port and country and having it made into a memory quilt.. After hearing about this several years ago we got allour old t-shirts going back to at least 1988 and had a quilt made with coincidently befoe I had birds with t-shirts from Aruba, San Blas, Bermuda, Cancun, Puerta Vallarta, Cartegena and everywhere else...they all have a parrot on them. Then we decided to do the same with all my husbands Red Sox shirts.. it's quite a conversation piece.. Oh yes...we are art nuts... and always come home with a few pieces. Our hallway is lined with prints... and we hve more to be framed..

Default What Do You Collect on Your Cruises?

I collect t-shirts and have bought jewlery and small art works on past cruises. I used to collect frig magnets; I have them from all over the world. But then we bought a frig with a stainless front, and magnets won't stick to it! My DH gets those little pins that he puts on his hat. He has so many now that he has pinned some to his camera bag.

Does anyone know if charms for a charm bracelet are available on RCI ships? My DH would like to start a bracelet for me (we'll be on our honeymoon) and was wondering.

Thanks all!

I also collect a spoon from each location and ship that I can. My DH collects pins. We also try to get an ornament from each place and ship. One of our Christmas trees is exclusively vacation ornaments.

Sea Trekker,

Do you have a favorite item that you collect while on your cruise?

Yes -- polo shirts with the name or insignia of either the ship (NOT of the cruise line) or a place (city or attraction) that I visited while in port.

BTW, I do wear them, and eventually wear them out!

Norm.

I used to collect T-shirts from everywhere, but find I just don't wear them anymore. Then it was fridge magnets, but my fridge is ready to fall over rom the weight! Lately it has been pins, of either the ship, port, or anywhere else I visit, and these I pin on my backpack that I take to work every day. I love being reminded daily of my wonderful cruises!

We collect the prizes they hand out for winning trivias... Anyone remember those Medals that RCI handed out a few years ago... we have... 20... i use them as doorbells on my door... and we got so many of those card lanyards that Celebrity has for trivia.... that i am handing them out as tea party favors... there's a bowl of 'em by the door... just grab one on your way out... I think the best prize I've ever got was a traveling pillow on Celebrity... it's the microfiber beads... exceptionally comfortable...

we have a whole cabinet of HAL logo items that we've won at trivia. I think my favorites are the silver 8 1/2 X 11 picture frames and the travel alarms. Plus, you can never have too many compact umbrellas!

THose prizes sound a LOT better than the crappy blue things RCI and Celebrity hands out... and those ARE better than the ship on a stick that carnival has... you can only win so many ships on a stick... they do NOTHING... but sit there... no use really... but compact umbrellas and travel alarms you say... might have to go on a HAL...

they are pretty good in the prize category. Also, HAL logo Maglites, mousepads that you can insert a picture into, pretty decent keychains, luggage tags, and mugs that you can't buy in the gift shop. They had Jimmy Buffett trivia one night and we cleaned up.
