Default A "sensitive question" for the Ladies

I bought several knit tops at an end of summer clearance. I love all of them! They all have something to do with sailing! I didn't try them on because I know my size.

But, when I did try them on yesterday, ummm, a "couple of things" showed through them !

What to do? I'm NOT using duct tape! Any other suggestions?

I really want to wear these on our cruise!

Thanks,

Get one the new bras made for tshirts. They are a bit of a molded cup (not thick) and will be smooth under your tops.

Those molded chemise tops work great under garments like that.

Something like this.

Victoria's Secret makes a great t-shirt bra that is totally seamless, and gives full coverage under clingy knits.

Why don't you post a couple of photos and we will tell you if they are as "showy" as you think.

jonoxl, !

I don't even want to wear the tops, much less post them for all to see!

I neglected to say that I'm "plus sized", so all the great posts about chemises, camis and bras wouldn't work for me .

I think I'll try the most simple suggestion from Trip! Tissues! I used these many years ago (don't need them now ), but I think I'll try again for a different reason!

Thanks everyone!

Fern, a thought just occured to me, would nursing pads inside your bra work? they would give you coverage.

Hey.. how about a slip top? Yes they still make those. I have a couple and they work great under tops. It also makes the tops slide into place better and it covers everything.

Check at JC Pennys or Sears.

Another idea. You can buy double sided iron on transfer at Walmart. Use that on inside of the top to add a layer of any soft material. The only drawback is that the glue in the transfer material makes the area affected a little stiffer. I have the same headlights problem and I took a very sheer, but cool top and did a patchwork pattern on the topside of it using this stuff.

Fredricks of Hollywood has these things called Petals they are flower shaped bandaid type things made just for this purpose. I use them and they work well, just remove them very slowly and in the shower.

Thanks,
I actually saw these bra pad thingies in Ross for that. You could also buy a slightly padded bra.

Back to the thingies in Ross-I used to buy mini pads and take one-cut it in half and trim it down it to two circles about the circumferance of my nipples. But I wish I had marketed my idea-I guess someone else did and I could have become a millioniare!!!

I had a friend that used bandaids but that was like OUCH! to me- but the trimmed down mini pads I would stick to the bra and not me. so if you can't find a slightlypadded bra that will work for you-try trimming down the mini pads-or check your Ross to see if they still have the nipple pads.
