putting the "sexy" into formal night

look, my wife and i do not get very many oppotunities to get dressed up so when it comes to formal night, we are going to do it right. My wife has never seen me in a tux, but to surprise her i will have one for the cruise. My wife uses such speaial occasions to wear her sexiest lingerie under her formal dreses. makes you appreciate formal night all the more. would love to hear from other men or woman that use formal night as a special "sexy" night.

Kuki January 22nd, 2007 08:34 PM

YUP!! I make sure to wear the briefs with no holes in them LOL LOL

kcormier19 January 23rd, 2007 09:44 AM

for sure

i'm sure the wife appreciates that one, probably the fellow passangers too.

LisaK January 23rd, 2007 11:14 AM

what a nice surprise for your wife. I think that a man in a tux is very sexy. Its not just lingerie that gets "sexed-up"on formal night.
I don't get the chance to "dress to the nines" so i take advantage of it on formal nights.

kcormier19 January 23rd, 2007 02:03 PM

formal night

i agree Lisa, if it is not something you get to do too often then take advantage of when you can.

Interesting thought. I have had those thoughts of the undergarments for her but she feels it is too uncomfortable, physically that is.

JamesRT February 17th, 2007 09:05 PM

Op you and your wife have the right idea!

mteague February 21st, 2007 07:21 PM

Michael .... you mean the strapless corset and the garter belt with stockings? I thought every lady wore those! A proper Southern Lady would never leave home without these vital undergarments!

Actually, I have those undergarments. In my opinion, they make all of your "stuff" look just right!

No, you got that backward. It's your elegantly proportioned "stuff" that makes the undergarments (and other fashions) look "just right".... and that, in turn, makes your "personal services" extremely valuable to the fashion industry....

Speaking of which, do you work as a fashiion model? Or have you ever considered doing so?

(Just curious....)

Norm.

mteague February 21st, 2007 11:10 PM

Wow Norm  I just don't know how to take that!

I haven't model anything in a professional capacity of any sort! Especially anything remotely related to the oldest profession or the gentleman's club variety! I have modeled in high school fashion shows, but that is the extent of my modeling career! I am a very conservative auditor, with an eye for detail and the ability to get information from people without them even knowing they have sunk their ship. 8)

Maybe it's a southern thing, but I do remember whispered conversations with older female family members. LOL Something along the lines of knowing when to be a lady and when to be a tigress and how to dress for the occasions. Oh yes, they did talk about this in a very delicate fashion. I laughed and called them old-fashioned. The message stuck though! Women talk and all of the women I know are business professionals who wear suits to work. However, all of that changes when the suits come off. We talk, laugh and learn from each other. You see everyone benefits from these lessons, including the lady. So the next time you see that lady in a suit, remember what I said. :D And it might truly be a southern cultural thing.

As far as models, did you see the pics of my children and grandchildren in the cruisemates personal photo gallery? If you haven't you are in for a treat. Check out Melody Still pics!

Now wait just a minute. I was quite explicit in my mention of the FASHION industry!

But then again....

I hate to break this to you, but the fashion industry probably would have paid better.

A lot better....

Indeed, you probably would be retired and taking 2-3 cruises per month, each of at least ten days, by now....

Oh, well. There's no point in crying over spilt milk.

Actually, I can relate to what you are saying. It seems to pretty common to genteel society everywhere, though I have to admit that you southern belles pull it off with a unique -- and very classy -- style.

BTW, classy business suit would really catch my attention!

Of course, the other side of the coin is that there's nothing like a flaw on the ring finger of the left hand to divert my attention elsewhere....

Okay, I'll take a look as soon I get a minute.

Norm.

mteague February 22nd, 2007 01:11 PM

Well Norm, I guess I missed my calling! But you have given me a definite boost today! The spring in my step is all because of you! *smooches to you*. I think I'll wear the red suit to my meeting this afternoon!

Melody has got the right idea and her southern upbringing speaks well. I appreciate when a woman knows how to properly dress be it for work or for a formal occasion and going all out, including as she stated earlier, in garter belt and stockings is how a woman should dress for any formal event. wish more women would do the same. I know some men out ther dont do enough for their wives or G/F to want to dress up for them but let them do it for themsleves, they deserve it.

JamesRT March 5th, 2007 02:27 PM

Hmmmmmm Interesting! I looked hard at Mel.I missed the belt, etc. LOL

mteague March 6th, 2007 12:45 AM

Oh James, it wasn't formal night! But if you really doubt me.....

LisaK March 6th, 2007 03:53 PM

totally agree with you Melody. Nothing better for the posture and the girls than a good fitting corset or merry widow

JamesRT March 6th, 2007 06:08 PM

Melody,
Would I ever doubt you? LOL

mteague March 6th, 2007 08:48 PM

James,

Well of course you would doubt me.....just to get the proof...let me see.

Melody

JamesRT March 6th, 2007 08:59 PM

JamesRT March 9th, 2007 10:41 AM

mteague March 9th, 2007 02:16 PM

JamesRT March 9th, 2007 06:39 PM

For Sure! LOL

Repsol Rod May 20th, 2008 05:02 PM

My wife and I are ballroom dancers so we see each other dolled up quite often. However, she's losing weight and has hinted at some things that will be sure to catch my attention on our upcoming cruise. I'm all about that! And, since there are only so many ways to wear a tuxedo, I'll be changing up this go 'round and striking out in a formal kilt.

Well, I love men in formal attire. I find that usually sexy. I also love dressing up and well, nice undies underneath, certainly! However, some of the summer more revealing evening dresses are not compatible with some of the sexiest undies in terms that you often cannot wear a bra (or else it shows) or it has to be one with invisible so to speak parts.

I love lingerie though and I think it's important to make an effort to keep the passion alive with little things like that, especially for couples like us who had a baby recently. It's easy for couples sometimes to get into a rut and become too tired to be intimate and make themselves look and feel special. I'm personally all for spicing things up! LOL

dina June 21st, 2009 10:29 AM

I always believe in dressing up with my prettiest lingerie regardless of occasion. It just makes me feel great all the time.

colorcrazie June 21st, 2009 04:16 PM

I like to show hubby what I am packing to wear on the cruise. Then, I don't let him see me dress, so he never knows what I have on that doesn't show. I love being a tease and a wife!
