Default HAIR HELP NEEDED

I have baby fine hair. I use lots of products to get a decent hairstyle each morning. When my hair is wet, it becomes straight as a board and is as flat as a sheet of paper plastered to my head !

I don't look good in hats....I look HORRIBLE i hats! I plan water excursions at each port....any hair ideas for flat straight wet hair would be appreciated.

Melody

Seriously, don't worry about it. Everybody's hair looks awful in one way or another when we come out of the water. When you are on a water excursion, it's expected and nobody cares. There's plenty of time to do your hair up right when you return to the ship so you'll look your best for dinner, which is where people really will notice.

Norm.

Perhaps you should use some mouse when your hair is wet to give it more volume. Simply use a golf ball size and scrunch throughout your hair.

Seriously, no one is looking at how good you look after you come from a water excursion. I have extremely thick and curly hair which always looks horrible when I get out of the water, but it comes down to worrying about my hair or enjoying the trip, and i have just decided to forget about the hair because mine is hopeless anyway!!! But I think the overthehill's idea of scrunching it might work. Hope you find something that works!

I have the same problem. Fortunately, I look pretty good in hats, so I either put it in a pony tail and pull it through a ball cap, or plunk it on top of my head with a broad brim sassy hat. The mousse thing helps but as we skinny hair people know, it's tough plumping up hair (maybe we could rub cheesecake on it - works for my things )

Alley Gator grease should do the trick for fine hair!

Default Hair Help Needed

I have thinning hair caused by a hormonal problem. Best thing is to keep it short. Long hair weighs too much and breaks soon. There are a lot of shampoos that have texture added to them; try them. Also I have found that hair wax is a great help.

Right James! I love you *smooch* I'll see you and DW Friday!

Thanks for all of your responses, except for Hightower who apparently is still on her high horse over carppy diapers in the pool! She actually wants to put her kid in a non-chlorinated pool with a diaper on! And she can't understand why people object. Some people have no concept of personal hygiene and apparently she is one of those kind.

I did find a new (or new to me product) by Garnier Fruictis. It's called "surf". I've been told not to use the paste, look for the gel. It gives you a great windswept beach look!

I can't wait to try it!

Towel it or brush it? Lots of the divefolk come out of the water as you describe, but it is no biggie in our community. 8)
