You make it sound like 50 is old. Here's a newsflash, 50 is the new 30. Having just celebrated the BIG 50, I look better now than I ever looked. The girls are still very perky, with no wrinkles and the cleavage looks great! If you have it flaunt it - as long as you're wearing the tops that are 2 sizes too small!
You got that Right!
It is all on an individual basis! Some people think once you hit say 30, 40, 50, 60 you have to wear certain type of clothing.
Wear whatever looks good on you and don't worry about the age. It is only a number. It is how you look and feel.
And yes 50 is the new 30! For Madonna who is turning 50 in August 50 is the new 20!

First time cruiser...stupid question. Is it ok to show clevage? I'm going solo and have this picture in my head of wives dragging their husbands by the arm when I pass by and mother's putting their hands over their adolescent son's eyes.
I'm not talking a lot, I'm also talking tasteful, not bulging out all over. Is it the norm or the exception to show some clevage?
On the Golden Princess last week, cleavage seemed to be the rule!
I didn't notice anyone covering eyes, and no husbands being yanked away... just lots of glittery, colorful, often low-cut dresses/blouses!
I wouldn't know anything about marriage. I'm still a swinging bachelor. Maybe someday, but right now I would be way too busy building a future(and even in a bad year my bottom line will be pretty good because of my side ventures outside of my career as an actor/filmmaker/writer). I guess all comes in it's own time.
And us guys wonder why women call us pigs. There is a difference between admiring a woman you find attractive and oggling their chest. The clothing a woman wears says as much about them as the clothes a man wears says about him. Simple point, admiration is ok, but looking at every woman's chest isn't, especially if you are with someone. Just a point I thought I should make.
my mother just got back from her latest cruise and going through her pics she was pretty boobtastic, I think it depends on your comfort level, and also where you are going. Take into account your destination and there culture.

if you're looking for attention flaunt it, if you don't mind a little attention wear semi low cut blouses/dresses, if you freak if a man glances at your chest please don't wear low cut blouses you'll irritate everyone at your table men are hard wired to look there should be no blame there.
A cruise is all about having fun. Remember....What happens on a cruise ship, stays on the cruise ship!!! Dress as conservatively or as trashy as you want to and remember that you probably will never see these people again.

Many find the female form admirable, and as long as the attention isn't unwanted or disrespectful, I see nothing untoward.
I'm curious if it's even warm enough to flaunt anything on an Alaskan cruise in May. I can't tell if it's too cold to bare some or if the weather is actually warm.
Do people on AK cruises actually flaunt it? Especially in "winter" or cooler weather? I'm curious, and now I must stare when I'm on my cruise. lol.
One of my evening dresses, only one (a long halter top) will show a little cleavage but not excessively. I'm not very big normally but I still have the extra weight on them from the baby so, oh well, may as well make the most of it before they get smaller!
I agree that there is a difference between sexy and slutty though although a lot of it has to do with confidence. If you feel confident showing cleavage it will look fine. The problem is when people feel to shy once the outfit is on and their body langage tells the tale.
A couple of my swimming costumes are possibly a little revealing in terms of cleavage but okay, they are bathing suits after all!
Alaska weather can be very warm or quite chilly. Layers, with the bottom layer (on top ) ready to flaunt, works.
On other itineraries, be careful about the different cultures and know where their line is and respect it. I met a teenager and her parents on a cruise a couple of years ago. They were from am small town and the girl dressed gothic/rock/almost trashy. She was miserable one day when I ran into her out on deck because some locals in a port had try to buy her from her dad! I explained that at home, people knew her and knew her morals but what is normal in the US is considered blatant "advertising" in a lot of cultures. She felt a little better because she had not thought it out and took it very personally. I was just glad she was with her dad and not exploring off on her own.

Oh, something like that happened to a teacher of mine years back in some African country, can't remember where. She is quite a large lady and I have always known her to dress fairly conservatively. Still someone offered cattle to own of her companions! Apparently she was travelling with a friend who was skinny and they offered less for the thin one! You've got to laugh sometimes, but yes, I guess it makes sense to try to respect the local culture, although I'm a fairly liberal person and I would have trouble having to dress in black from head to toe in a hot country but then again, I tend to use destinations where the culture shock wouldn't be so great.
Many find the female form admirable, and as long as the attention isn't unwanted or disrespectful, I see nothing untoward.
Nothing wrong at all if I'm showing it I have no problem with people (hopefully men) looking. So long as you are respectful and not making rude comments it's all good. If you have looking at my cleveage then maybe you haven't notice my not so nice body parts (like my big bass) . I got my special big booby bra and I ready to cruise in May. Ladies get your knockers up.

I'm not all that blessed and I do! My husband does too but I agree, it has to be tasteful, now sometimes that comes down to personality more than dress like someone who shouts and swears all the time would be common no matter what they are dressed on. Swearing has a place and I do it! I'm fiery all right, but a time and a place as I said...
Okay,so call me an "old fogey" but there is a difference in low, low cleavage that flaunts and just good taste.. Somebody, obviously not me.. said it's what's hidden that is exciting.. Yes, I'm a big woman and big busted and I don't mind a deep "V"neckline or a bathing suit that is strapless, but no matter what these men on the board are saying..under their breath when they see y ou... they are saying something else... Yes, I'm a senior citizen who thinks young.. at least I think I do..but I still like a woman to be feminine and not an object sneers.
Here is what I don't understand... the same picture has been posted THREE times on this site going back to 2007 and 2008.. what's the point!!
Well I didn't post it the first time someone else posted my picture. The second and third times were me. I hadn't realized I had already posted it. Since I don't go back to the old pages of a thread like this I hadn't realized it got posted so many times. Sadly, I can no longer edit the old posts because the new system was a time limit for editing posts. So the pictures will have to stay.
