Default Edit a post

After a message has been posted, is there a way to edit or make a correction?

Darlene,

Users can only edit their posts for five minutes after they made the post. There will be an "edit" button at the bottom of the post for that period of time.

If there is something you must change in your post you can contact a Moderator and they can make the change.

Take care,
Mike

Is there a reason for that? I have been in many forums but this is the only one I can edit a post only for 5 minutes.

I usually see my typos later and like to correct them but to bother a team member just seems to be too much for that. Still, typos bother me. Today I typed an "a" instead of "uh" and therefor the whole meaning is now stupid.

The time limit is there because some trolls can post a message start up controversy and then change the post to make it look like they were "innocent".

I have increased the edit time to 30 minutes and if there are no abuses then it can remain that way.

One thing to note is that when you post you will be taken to your new post. If you re-read it and find an issue then you can take care of it at that time.

Take care,
Mike
