Mexico customs?

Does anyone have any information as to how Mexican customs are done?
Do officers come onboard like U.S. ones do?
We are going on the Sapphire on Jan 30th and friends just got back from a RC ship and she never saw anything but they never got off ship.
Any help here asap would be great thanks. I'm google searched out.

You shouldn't have to go through customs until the return back to the US at the end of the cruise, so don't worry. It also doesn't matter if you get off the ship or not. What are your ports?

Thank you Donna but I meant clearing MEXICAN customs.
We are Canadians and always have to clear all the US ones coming and going.
Princess has officers come onboard while other cruise lines make you physically get off the ship to go through U.S. customs. What happens in Mexico?

First of all, it helps to mention you are Canadian... Maybe Kuki will see this and let us know (he is Canadian).

I just went on Saphire and I did not hear anything about customs, but the nest thing you could probably do is ask an experienced Canadian cruise travel agent. Or go to the Cabdaina state department.

Mexico is very lax about people coming into the country. It is generally the U.S. that requires customs checks for Canadians (like when ships go from St Martin to St Thomas, a Dutch island to a US territory).

I really doubt you have a problem.

You will not see anything about Mexican customs. Formalities are done by the cruise-line.
Only in each port some customofficers will come aboard and check with the captain or officers. After they give clearance passengers are allowed to go ashore.

Are you debarking in the USA or Mexico?
If you are just visiting Mexico on the cruise you do not clear customs there.
