How dressy is formal???

I'm going on the Celebrity Millenium and was wondering how formal are the formal nights?? Should i wear a past prom dress? Anybody know how formal it is?

Yes SS16, A prom dress would be about right. There will be all different styles of dresses and the men will probably wear anything from a sport coat to a tux, but you won't feel out of place if you get very dressed up. It is a great opportunity to have pictures taken.

well i went on a cruse and for our formal dinners you wear like dress, nice pants ,and stuff like that ok...... oh and you can wear a prom dress if you really wut to stand OUT!!! lol so just dont wear anything like that lol ok.... but if you or anyone else needs some info on wut to wear or anything aboute a cruse just e-mail me ok ...... oh yeah and have fun!@!!!!!!!!

I've been on 5 cruises and I'm going on one this Spring Break ... I'm wearing a past Santa Switch dress and on the boat guys wear nice suits or tux's so DONT feel out of place if you wear an old prom dress... Unless its really Extreme~

I wear past homecoming dresses cause they are formal... but as formal as prom dresses. You'll look cute either way. Dress to impress you'll surely turn heads. Have fun!

yah the millennium is a lot more formal then other cruise lines... get as dressed up as you can all the girls i met wore long gowns

I am only 14 and I have never been to a homecoming/prom. Will I look weird if I don't have a long prom type dress, but a fancy flowered or a lace one that I wore to fancy Bar Mitzvah parties? Thanks, ~Anna~
