My family looks Like we are taking the Carnival Legend outta NY and Id like to know how the Teen Programs are. Are there Dances everynight?? Do you think theres gunna be alot of teens our ages (17, 16, 14)? Any info in appreciated!!
I was on the Legend in 2002. I can tell you alot about the public areas, not so much about teens. My dad took me and my two best friends, on a 2night cruise to nowhere when it was brand new.
The disco is called "Medusas Lair" and it is two stories, with a bar and lounge on top, wall of TV's, a spiral staircase that leads down to the dance floor and a lounge area below. There is a loft on the second floor that looks down to the floor below, and lights and stuff everywhere. After the disco, there is an "Enchanted Forest" that is on deck 3 before the arcade. It is kind of hard for the average adult to find, so most people dont go back there unless you know its there. It is a really long, slanted narrow hallway with round windows and sofas and stuff.
The ship its self is awesome! Its easy to get around and really pretty. So far, out of 10 cruises, Legend was my favorite and nicest ship I have been on yet. (No lie.) Have a good time!

The Carnival Legend is a great ship, I was on it in April of 2003 and had so much fun, I am 18 and I met up with about 10 other teenagers and we had our own little group, we did everything from chill in Medusas Lair, to watch movies in the cabins and basketball games at 2:00am. The layout of this ship is different from other carnival ships I have sailed on (Sensation and The Paradise) I have been on 9 cruises so far with many different lines and this is by far the best ship I have been on. You will meet many new people and have the time of your life. Make sure you check out the Piano Bar too we hung out in there alot and it is relaxing. If you have any questions you can Instant Message me at Rhap21684. One more thing, unless carnival has changed the format on the TVs in the cabins, you will know Elton Johns "Rocket Man" by heart and you will hear it so many times after your cruise ends. I had never heard it before the cruise and now I hear it almost weekly on the Radio or in Elevators.

She packed my bags last night pre-flight
Zero hour nine a.m.
And Iím gonna be high as a kite by then
I miss the earth so much I miss my wife
Itís lonely out in space
On such a timeless flight
And I think itís gonna be a long long time
Till touch down brings me round again to find
Iím not the man they think I am at home
Oh no no no Iím a rocket man
Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone
Mars ainít the kind of place to raise your kids
In fact itís cold as hell
And thereís no one there to raise them if you did
And all this science I donít understand
Itís just my job five days a week
A rocket man, a rocket man
And I think itís gonna be a long long time...
