So me and my dad were talking about cruises and I was showing him some prices for cruises. When he came upont the RCI ones he said no way! I was like why and he said they were to expensive. I have herd that Carnival can be better then RCI and visa versa. So why do ya'll think it is more expensive then carinval or NCl and lines like that. Any comments are fine.
Jenna, the prices differ on the itineraries, ships, and time of season/weeks/months, etc. When we planned our last cruise to the Caribbean in August, we noticed that RCI charges more on the Voyager-class ships, followed by the Radiance-class, and downward according the age of ships. Now don't quote me here, but RCI offers alot of amenities and the Voyager ships are best class of ships on the market therefore RCI will charge more. Carnival's mega ships are quite boring and if you notice, they are all about the same. Carnival's ships has more capacity compared to other ships of their sizes in the market. Now, NCL's prices might look attractive, but keep in mind that onboard are extra-tariff restaurants which you have to pay 10 dollars a meal to eat in there and there are a few more optional "extras". Usually older ships will cost less to sail on while the newer ships costs more to sail on.
In my opinion, Carnival's service is not as great as RCI and its more "party" atmosphere while RCI's is more tone down. NCL is somewhat in between depending on the ship.
