Just wondering what the age requirement for the gym on Mariner. I'm running a full marathon in October and don't think I could go a full week without training, I'm supposed to do 22 miles one of the days im aboard the Mariner and probably just need to spend an hour or two on the treadmill, but that would be a long time of going no where! (btw, im a month away from 16 this August and could definatly pass for 16 if thats the age)
Also does anyone know about the jogging track on Deck 12? Is it still really hot early morning; even on open ocean?

16 is the age on most ships, but they don't card you or guard the door or anything. you could probablly go in fine. and if you told them the reason, i'm sure the wouldn't have a problem with it.
I used the huge hott tub in the spa, no problem. I was there in the late afternoon though.
As for the jogging track, I wouldent use it, they designed it poorly and it circles the upper pool deck, which is where all the lounge chairs... Making it virtually impossible to run past/ through the crowds of people.
My brother and I run almost everyday (or i used to Ive been having achilles tendonites for like 8 months and it really sucks). Im going on my first cruise in june. As a runner i recommend running before most people get up, or since you will probaly be up late anyways run at like 2 am....though that might piss people off, if u go mid day its gonna be hot. Or if you are in a safe port go running there, I may try that.
On the Mariner, it is 16 for the gym, 18 for the spa. You should be fine, they don't check ID unless you look 10. Usually, the fitness instructors will be elsewhere during the afternoons, and in the mornings will more than likely be instructing classes. I've always used the gym around 4-5pm and it was pretty empty. The instructors, when they were there, were in and out.
