The kid would flip if he knew I posted this but....
Taking him to Alaska 6/11 on RCCL Vision. He's 13. Know he's nervous about meeting kids his age or if there will be any. For the teens that read this - what advice is there for him.
Go to the teen program orientation the first night. I have been on the Vision of the Seas to Alaska a few years back and its exciting! I was 11 at the time and I remember how fun it was to "abandon" my parents and hang out with others my age. Having been on 2 RCI cruises, their program is really fun and I am sure your son will find many kids his age.
I have a friend who went on Vision to Mexico not long ago. She had a great time. As long as your son goes to the teen activities, he will too. On some ships, the activities are better that others. It depends a lot on the teens during that particular cruise and on the teen counselors. If your son at least goes to the dance the first night he'll meet lots of friends for the rest of the cruise. I'm somewhat of a shy person and even I have made friends on cruises whom I still keep in touch with.
