Default The future of cruise ships....

I saw this being done at another forum, so I am just curious what other teens, think about the future of cruise ships. What do you guys think future cruise ships will have in them, size, design, etc?

Could it be something like this? Before I get killed with copyrights stuff, this picture was done back when SOVERIGN of the SEAS entered service. People were speculating about the future of cruise ships.

Wow, and SOS is a tiny ship now! I remeber it was the "new" thing out because it was the first ship ever built with a 5story lobby... Now look at how far they have gone with the Voyager class, which has two lobbies, both 12 stories high, and a huge mall in the center...

BUT

I hope they dont get too much bigger.

They are perfect the size they are now, and I think this ultra-voyager is "pushing the limits." These days it seems to be more a competition on who can build the biggest ships, when alot of peole dont have the intrest on being on something so big you can reach Cuba on it from Miami...

I like the Carnival Spirit class for a regular sized ship, and I hope that they make more ships this size, just make a different style.

As for larger ships, I like the Voyager class, Destiny and Grand class... I dont think they should get much bigger...

Just my opinion!

Uhhh Dan, Soverign is not tiny nowadays, but if you compared to the "Giant Carnival" it is! ;-).......Also how can you remember something 15 years ago? *confused*

Hey you guys, I found this other project too! Its call America World City...

At 200,000 gt, this ship would be "Nearly a quarter of a mile long... a draft of 10 meters... 6,200-passenger capacity... 2,400 staff... with an internal port carrying four 400-passenger high-speed daycruisers to ferry guests to and from destinations as the ship moves along its itinerary between principal ports of call." More here: http://www.quinwell.com/cruise/america.html

Freedom Ship does look interesting. It looks more like a shopping mall than a cruise ship?

I think it would be fun to live on freedom ship when I get old and retire. Until then, I'll cruise on lots of different ships. haha
