In two days!! im goin on the Mariner and its going to Nassau Bahamas: Charlotte Amalie, U.S. Virgin Islands: and Island of St. Martin-Maarten, Guadeloupe. Whats fun to do at these places? Usually we figure out our excursions earlier but for some reason we haven't.
St Maarten is part of the BVI, not Guadelope... but, I just took Mariner to the same places in April.
We didnt do very many excursions, but in St Maarten we rented jet skis (me and my dad each rented one) and it was really cool. Just go to the beach after the water taxi, and they have little sale huts around the beach. It was really cool, because it was rough in the bay, and you could wave jump and pass all the cruise ships. And the water is so blue and clear...
IN St Thomas, go to Magen's Bay Beach ($# per person to get in, and $6 per person taxi). It is so relaxing and beautiful there. If you have time, do a tour of the island that includes Mountain Top. There are beautiful views there. This is my favorite port.
In Nassau, go to the Atlantis Resort, Paradise Island. It is awesome. It costs $3 per person I think to get there by water taxi. It is $25 to tour the resort itself, but it is well worth it. You can sneak in usually.
I've never been to St Maarten, but I'm going in Febuary.
In st. maarten last year my family and i did this catarmeran thing with Golden Eagle- it was pricey tho but definetly worth it. You took a 45 mins or so catamaran ride to this private island and snorkeled for awhile and then went back. it was a lot of fun.
Carnival Conquest: April 4th-11th 2004
Carnival Victory: April 20th-27th 2003
In st.martin go to Orient beach. Its on the the dutch side of the island. There is alot to do and a few resturants up and down the beach. They have showers and everything. Just a warning it is a topless beach and as you walk down farther some parts are totaly nude.
