You didn't even give it a chance... i wouldn't reccommend quitting, stick it out atleast a week then if you still don't like it, iguess you could quit... i don' t like quitting because then you lose out on a recommendation for your next job... also i think it depends on why you don't like your job... just my thoughts... (i've been at Kirbys (where i work) for 1yr and 6months and i love it)
When people tell you that it is important to get a job that you like, they're most likely referring to when you get a CAREER job. I imagine most of you are just getting jobs for the summer, and, therefore, it is most important to get A job. You're just doing it for money, you don't need to like it. After you go through college or whatever you choose to do with your life, that is when you should find a job you enjoy doing. For example, I'm majoring in Computer Science at college but today I had my first day of work at Walmart. Walmart obviously has nothing to do with what I want for my future career--I am just using it now because I enjoy having cash to blow.
If you simply can't put up with your current job, i suggest you atleast apply and get hired by someone else before you quit your current job. You don't want to quit and then find out you wont be able to find another job.
oh ive been in that possition i teach skiing and snowboarding during the winter and all the kids who teach it get into fights with our boss, they will fire us daily and then call us back the next day...i wanna quit but its a free pass and i need the money in the winter
